See The Small Steps And Giant Leap

I missed the live broadcast of the first Moonwalk by about two decades, but I still love seeing those awkward first steps down the ladder and hearing Armstrong’s immortal words. This is some really clear video taken from inside the capsule by astronaut Buzz Aldrin (you can sometimes see his reflection) of Armstrong’s first descent down onto the lunar surface.
It really is humbling knowing that not only did humans escape the bonds of gravity that hold us down here on Earth, but that we have walked on other worlds; it is incredible when you think that it took 40 years ago this July. I really do hope to see a moon landing (maybe even Mars landing) in my lifetime.
