Tricky Caterpillars And Wasps

One thing I’ve observed about nature: it’s ridiculously complex.  Here we have a caterpillar which emits pheromones that trick ants into taking care of it until it can pupate into a butterfly.  Before this can happen a wasp sneaks in, releasing a pheromone that causes the ants to fight each other, and lays its eggs inside the caterpillars body.  So now the ants are taking care of not only some carpetbagging caterpillars, but those caterpillars are giving cover and food to the wasps growing inside their bodies.  NATURE!
